AlliedBarton's commitment to employee training and education are second to none in the security industry. One look at our unique career development program and it's obvious why AlliedBarton is the most honored security officer company.
The following is a brief overview of the AlliedBarton EDGE® curriculum:
Security Officer Basic Course (SOBC)
As an AlliedBarton security officer candidate you will learn the introductory aspects of your responsibilities during SOBC training. SOBC is normally delivered in a classroom by an instructor; however an online version of SOBC is also available.
Site Orientation and On-the-job Training
The on-the-job training process is site-specific and customized for each client. The on-the-job checklist is completed and entered into our online employee database which tracks courses you’ve successfully completed throughout your career. Depending on where you are assigned, on-the-job training can range from basic 8- to 16-hour packages to advanced programs of 40 to 120 hours.
AlliedBarton’s unique online career center, AlliedBartonEDGE.com makes continuing education courses more accessible for you. Courses are available to employees 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. As an AlliedBarton employee you are automatically enrolled in AlliedBartonEDGE.com so that your progress can be easily tracked. Many of our security officers decide to voluntarily participate in continuing education.
Master Security Officer (MSO) Program
The MSO program encourages professional development with courses that go beyond initial training processes. The curriculum consists of 20 training modules covering various topics important to AlliedBarton, our clients and the security industry in general. These courses are available as booklets and online at AlliedBartonEDGE.com. Employees work through the levels as they become more tenured at AlliedBarton, earning recognition and awards along the way. Upon completion, employees receive the coveted AlliedBarton Master Security Officer (MSO) designation.
